Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs permissible and impermissible uses of the Service operated by TwittrAPI ("Provider"). It forms part of the Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
You are solely responsible for all use of the Service under your account, including use by your customers, employees, agents or other third parties. The Provider does not monitor, supervise or verify how you use the data you retrieve. You bear full legal and compliance responsibility for your downstream use.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to:
2.1 Violate laws or third-party rights
- violate any applicable local, national or international law or regulation, including data protection law (GDPR), intellectual property law, privacy law or export control law;
- infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person or entity;
- process personal data without a valid legal basis under the GDPR;

2.2 Harmful or abusive conduct

2.3 Platform abuse
- operate bots, scrapers or scripts that violate X Corp. rate limits or terms in a way that could jeopardise the Provider's access credentials;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with any security, authentication or rate-limiting mechanism of the Service or the X platform;

2.4 Resale and redistribution
- resell, sublicense or otherwise transfer access to your API key or the Service to third parties without the Provider's prior written consent;

3. Your data protection obligations
Data retrieved through the Service may contain personal data within the meaning of Art. 4(1) GDPR. You are the data controller for any personal data you retrieve, store, process or transmit; the Provider is not a data processor acting on your behalf in respect of such content. You are solely responsible for:
- establishing and maintaining a lawful basis for your processing;
- providing the required transparency and notices to data subjects;
- implementing appropriate technical and organisational security measures;
- responding to data subject requests;
- concluding any required data processing agreements with your own sub-processors;
- notifying the supervisory authority of personal data breaches where required.
The Provider assumes no liability for your GDPR compliance or for any regulatory action, fine or claim arising from your processing of personal data.
4. No monitoring
The Provider does not monitor, review or verify the specific data you retrieve or how you use it, and assumes no responsibility for your downstream use. The absence of monitoring does not imply approval of any particular use. Request logs are kept for 24 hours for billing, abuse detection and debugging only (see the privacy policy).
5. Enforcement
Violation of this AUP is a material breach of the Terms of Service and may result in:
- immediate suspension or termination of your access without prior notice;
- forfeiture of any remaining Balance (no refund);
- reporting to the relevant authorities where required by law;
- legal action to recover damages suffered by the Provider.
The Provider decides at its sole discretion whether a use violates this AUP.
6. Changes to this policy
The Provider may update this AUP at any time. Changes take effect when published. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
By using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. Questions: support@twittrapi.com.
