Terms of service
Terms for API access, the dashboard and payments.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Part I: API service
1. Scope and applicability
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the API service, the customer dashboard and the associated payment features (together the "Service") provided by TwittrAPI ("Provider", "we", "us").
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you accept these Terms for it and confirm that you are authorised to do so.
By using the Service you agree to these Terms in their entirety, including the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
If you buy access through a marketplace (RapidAPI or JojAPI), the terms of that marketplace also apply to the purchase.
2. Description of the Service
The Service is an API that relays requests to the X (formerly Twitter) platform using third-party access credentials and returns the responses to you, either as returned by X or converted into a simplified JSON format. It only accesses publicly available data and does not provide access to protected accounts or private content. The Provider acts as a technical intermediary (conduit) and does not generate, curate or filter the content returned.
Optional features include account actions (requests made with credentials you supply) and account monitoring (new posts of the accounts you choose, delivered to your webhook or retrievable through the API).
The Service provides technical access only. We do not license any rights to the underlying X/Twitter data, do not guarantee the legality of any particular use of that data, and make no representations about the content, accuracy or completeness of data returned by the X platform.
3. No affiliation with X Corp.
The Provider is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or in any way officially connected to X Corp. (formerly Twitter, Inc.) or any of its subsidiaries. "X" and "Twitter" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
The Provider makes no representation that your use of the Service, or of data obtained through it, complies with the X Terms of Service or any other policies of X Corp. Compliance with those policies is solely your responsibility.
4. Service availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of uptime, continuity or uninterrupted access. The current status is published on the status page for information only.
The Service depends on third-party access credentials and on the continued availability of the X platform and related infrastructure, none of which are under the Provider's control. Access may be suspended, throttled or terminated at any time without prior notice due to:
- changes or enforcement actions by X Corp.;
- revocation, expiry or invalidation of third-party credentials;
- infrastructure outages, maintenance or capacity limits;
- force majeure events.
Endpoints may change when the underlying platform changes. The Provider may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.
5. Your obligations
By using the Service, you agree to:
- comply with the Acceptable Use Policy at all times;
- comply with the X Terms of Service and all applicable X Corp. policies;
- comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection (such as the GDPR), intellectual property and privacy laws;
- ensure that any third parties you grant access to (for example your own customers or end users) comply with these Terms and applicable law;
- not circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with the Service's infrastructure, security or rate-limiting mechanisms.
You are solely and fully responsible for all activities under your account and API key.
6. Data, content and data protection
The Provider does not store X/Twitter content returned by successful API calls; it is relayed in real time. The only exceptions are:
- Request logs. For billing, abuse detection and debugging, each call is logged with time, endpoint, status code, response time and balance change. For failed calls the log also holds the query parameters (credential-like values redacted) and the first 200 characters of the error response. Cookies and proxy credentials sent with account actions are never written to the logs. Request logs are deleted after 24 hours.
- Account monitoring. If you use monitoring, new posts of the accounts you watch are stored for 7 days so you can retrieve them, and are sent to the webhook URL you configure (failed deliveries are retried for up to 24 hours).
You are the data controller for all personal data you retrieve, store or otherwise process via the Service, and you are solely responsible for complying with the GDPR and any other applicable data protection law. All data returned through the Service is provided "as is", without warranty as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. How we handle your own account data is described in the privacy policy.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider excludes all liability for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, arising from:
- your use of, or inability to use, the Service;
- any data obtained through the Service, or your reliance on it;
- interruption, suspension or discontinuation of the Service;
- actions, omissions or policies of X Corp. or other third parties;
- any violation of the X Terms of Service by you;
- loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings;
- any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages.
Where applicable law does not allow liability to be fully excluded, the Provider is liable for simple negligence only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation, that is, one whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely. In such cases liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Liability for indirect and consequential damages remains excluded.
In any event, the Provider's aggregate liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees you paid to the Provider in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for fraud, where such exclusions are not permitted by applicable law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Provider and its agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- your use of the Service;
- your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy;
- your violation of any applicable law or third-party right;
- any data you process or transmit via the Service;
- any claim by your customers or end users arising from your use of the Service.
Part II: Payment
9. Prepaid balance and payment methods
Direct accounts are prepaid. Calls, booked rate-limit tiers and monitoring plans are paid from your balance ("Balance") at the prices on the pricing page. New accounts receive a trial credit of $0.10 for 14 days with a limit of 3 requests per second; trial keys can call read endpoints only.
You can add Balance in the dashboard by:
- Crypto: USDT or USDC on Polygon, USDT on Tron, or Litecoin, with no surcharge. Deposits are credited after the required network confirmations; Litecoin is credited at its USD value when the deposit is confirmed. USDT on Tron has a minimum of $50 per deposit and a $3 network fee per credited deposit, deducted from the credit; smaller Tron deposits are kept and credited together once they reach the minimum. Funds sent on another network or in another token are not credited automatically; contact us if that happens.
- Card (one-time packages): processed by our payment partner, which acts as reseller. A card fee of 9% applies; prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout depending on your country.
- Card with invoice and auto top-up (business customers, after approval): on request in the dashboard; invoices can show your VAT ID (reverse charge where applicable).
Balance is credited automatically once the payment or deposit is confirmed. You receive a confirmation by email. All prices are in USD. By paying by card you also accept the terms of the payment provider shown at checkout.
10. Failed calls and refunds
Calls that fail with HTTP 400, 408, 409 or 5xx are refunded to your Balance automatically. Other failed calls, for example 404 (not found) or 422 (invalid input), are charged because the request was processed.
Apart from this, purchased Balance is not refunded or paid out, including for unused Balance, account closure or termination, service discontinuation, change of mind, or technical issues (unless caused by our gross negligence). Any exception is at our discretion.
11. Immediate performance, no withdrawal
Balance is credited immediately upon payment confirmation and the digital service is provided immediately. By purchasing Balance you expressly request that we start performance immediately, and you acknowledge that any statutory right of withdrawal that might otherwise apply ends once the Balance has been credited.
12. Balance usage and validity
Purchased Balance does not expire. It can be used for services at the current prices. Balance cannot be transferred to other accounts or converted into cash or other forms of payment.
13. Rate-limit tiers and plans
Paid accounts get 30 requests per second. Higher rate-limit tiers and monitoring plans are booked in the dashboard for one month at a time; the monthly fee is taken from your Balance and renews from it. If your Balance does not cover a renewal, the tier ends and your limit returns to 30 requests per second, or monitoring pauses. Higher limits on request are agreed individually.
14. Price changes
We may change prices at any time to adapt to market developments, operational costs or other business considerations. No refund or compensation is provided for price changes. Purchased Balance keeps its monetary value, but the amount of service it buys may change.
15. Customer information and taxes
You must provide accurate information about yourself, your location and your tax status; business customers also provide their company name and, if applicable, their VAT identification number. We add VAT or similar taxes where required. False statements may result in immediate suspension or a permanent ban.
Part III: General
16. Account termination
The Provider may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination any unused Balance is forfeited and not refunded. You can ask us to delete your account in the dashboard.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement; any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness or quality of data obtained through the Service; and any warranty that defects will be corrected. You assume all risk arising from your use of the Service and any data obtained through it.
18. Force majeure
The Provider is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, actions or policy changes by X Corp., revocation or throttling of third-party credentials, internet or telecommunications outages, cyberattacks, and changes in law or government action. The Provider's obligations are suspended for the duration of such an event. No refund, credit, compensation or liability arises from a force majeure event.
19. Data protection: no processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR)
The Provider acts as a technical conduit and does not process personal data on your behalf; it is not a data processor within the meaning of Art. 4(8) GDPR. Accordingly, no data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is concluded in connection with these Terms. You acknowledge that:
- you act as the sole and independent data controller for any personal data you request, retrieve, store, process or transmit via the Service;
- you bear exclusive responsibility for complying with the GDPR and other data protection laws in connection with that processing;
- you indemnify and hold the Provider harmless against any claim, fine, penalty, cost or liability imposed by a supervisory authority or asserted by a data subject arising from your processing of personal data;
- if a court or authority determines that the Provider acts as a data processor, you bear all resulting compliance obligations and costs and indemnify the Provider in full.
20. Your representations
By using the Service you represent, on each use, that you have the legal capacity and authority to agree to these Terms; that your use of the Service and of the data does not violate any law or third-party right; that you hold all licences, consents and authorisations required for it; that you are not subject to EU, UN, US or other applicable sanctions and do not act on behalf of a sanctioned person; that your use does not expose the Provider to legal, regulatory or reputational liability; and that the information you give us is accurate, current and complete. A breach of these representations is a material breach of these Terms.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when published on this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
22. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of the Provider's place of business, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms is the Provider's place of business, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.
23. Entire agreement and miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the Provider regarding the Service and supersede all prior communications and agreements on that subject. Amendments bind the Provider only if made in writing and expressly stated to amend these Terms.
Severability. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect; the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its original intent.
No waiver. Failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Assignment. The Provider may assign or sub-contract its rights and obligations under these Terms. You may not do so without the Provider's prior written consent.
No partnership. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, employment or fiduciary relationship.
Survival. Sections 7, 8, 17, 19, 20 and 23 survive termination.
Notices. Formal notices under these Terms are sent by email to support@twittrapi.com and are deemed received on the day of transmission.
By using the Service or purchasing Balance, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service or purchase Balance.
