FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out when an X account was created?

Enter the @username or paste the profile link and press Check. You get the exact join date and time in UTC, as X reports it, and how old the account is in years, months and days.

Is the join date the same as on the profile?

Yes. The profile shows only the month and year ("Joined December 2013"); this tool shows the full date and time.

How is posts per day calculated?

The account's post count divided by the number of days since it was created. The post count includes replies and reposts, and drops when posts are deleted, so treat it as an average, not a history.

Does a renamed account keep its age?

Yes. The creation date belongs to the account, not the username, so it stays the same after a rename.

Can I check the age of an account from its user ID?

Newer accounts have long user IDs (18 or 19 digits) that contain their creation time. Paste such an ID into the tweet ID to date converter to read it without any lookup.

Why check account age at all?

A brand-new account with many followers or a very high posting rate can be a sign of a bot or a bought account. Age is one signal; look at it together with the posts.
