TwitterAPIs and TwittrAPI both sell access to public X data per API call, without an X developer account. The differences are the price per call, the rate limit, how monitoring is priced and timed, and the write endpoints.
We run TwittrAPI. TwitterAPIs details below come from its own pages, checked on 16 October 2026. Each number links to its source.
At a glance (as of October 2026)
X-API-KEY headerAuthorization: Bearer headerformat=simpleFlat snake_case JSONPer 1,000 tweets assumes 20 tweets per search or timeline call, as both providers count. Our monitoring prices are monthly, as the dashboard books them for that number of accounts; the seconds are the longest time between two checks.
Price per call
A standard TwitterAPIs call costs $0.0008 per standard callas of Oct 2026. A call on TwittrAPI costs $0.0001 at the Standard price that every account gets, about 8x less, and less again on our volume tiers (pricing).
TwitterAPIs' homepage states "$0.0008 per call, every endpoint"as of Oct 2026. Its pricing page lists higher prices for DMs and tweet creation, full history and thread calls: $0.0016 per call for DMs and creating tweets, $0.0024 for full history, $0.004 for a full threadas of Oct 2026. Every call on TwittrAPI has the same price.
Search and timelines. Both count about 20 tweets per call: $0.00325 to $0.005 per 1,000 tweets on TwittrAPI, $0.04 per 1,000 tweets on a full page of 20 tweetsas of Oct 2026 on TwitterAPIs. X decides the real page size. TwitterAPIs' pricing page reports that pages averaged about 13 tweets across its own read calls, search pages closer to 8as of Oct 2026, so measure with your own queries.
Monitoring
Both have one account free and flat monthly plans. At each of TwitterAPIs' plan sizes, our Standard and Fast classes cost less than its plan. Our Real-time class costs less up to 500 accounts and more at 2,000: $949/month against Scale $799/month for 2,000 accounts, 2 s delivery once a post is detectedas of Oct 2026.
The seconds mean different things. Ours are guaranteed check intervals for every public account, with no follower minimum (monitoring). TwitterAPIs publishes Starter: under 60 s detection, poll-based, typicalas of Oct 2026, and Growth and larger: 2-second delivery once a post is detectedas of Oct 2026, with no detection interval stated for those plans. Its pricing page says detection is poll-based and typical, not a guaranteed SLAas of Oct 2026.
Where TwitterAPIs is the better fit
- Free credit that stays: the same $0.50 to start, and free credits never expireas of Oct 2026. Ours is valid 7 days.
- Write endpoints we do not have, such as articles and Grok chat (write endpoints (posting, likes, follows, DMs, lists, drafts, scheduled tweets, articles, Grok chat)as of Oct 2026).
- Monitoring at 2,000 accounts: Scale $799/month for 2,000 accounts, 2 s delivery once a post is detectedas of Oct 2026 costs less than our Real-time class for the same count.
- Monitoring to chat: signed webhooks, or Slack and Discord nativelyas of Oct 2026.
Where TwittrAPI is the better fit
- Price per call: $0.0001 against $0.0008 per standard callas of Oct 2026, one price for every endpoint.
- Rate limit: 30 requests/s after the first top-up, against 600 requests per minute and 20 concurrent requests per API keyas of Oct 2026; up to 3,000 on request.
- Monitoring with guaranteed intervals: within 60, 5 or 1 s for any public account; Standard and Fast cost less at every plan size above.
- Refunds on 400, 408, 409 or 5xx responses.
- Hosted MCP with OAuth: connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor by URL (hosted MCP).
- Crypto without a fee (USDT or USDC on Polygon, USDT on Tron, or Litecoin).
Write endpoints. Our account actions cost the same per call as reads; TwitterAPIs' pricing page lists $0.0016 per call for DMs and creating tweets, $0.0024 for full history, $0.004 for a full threadas of Oct 2026. The X session is handled differently: on TwitterAPIs, writes use an X session you register once and they store, or a login endpoint ($0.01 per login)as of Oct 2026; on TwittrAPI you send the session cookie and your proxy with each call (your X session).
Switching
Both use a key in a header and return JSON. Their key goes in Authorization: Bearer, ours in X-API-KEY. Their paths take a query, username or id parameter and return snake_case fields with next_cursor and has_more. Add format=simple on our side for flat camelCase objects with nextCursor and hasNextPage (simple format).
GET /twitter/user/tweets?username= or user_id=GET /user/{userId}/tweetsHandle only: /user/-1/tweets?username=jack.GET /twitter/tweet/advanced_search?query=&product=LatestGET /search?searchItem=&category=Latestquery also works as the parameter name. Same X search operators.GET /twitter/user/followers?username=GET /user/{userId}/followersUse -1 and ?username= for a handle. All our endpoints are in the reference. To compare cost on your own workload, run the same queries on both and divide what you paid by the tweets you got.
TwittrAPI is not affiliated with X Corp. Reading data needs no X account.
