Pricing and billing

How TwittrAPI bills direct keys per API call from a prepaid balance, the price tiers, refunds, balance headers and the /balance endpoint.

Direct keys pay per API call from a prepaid balance. There is no subscription for API calls, and the balance does not expire. RapidAPI and JojAPI keys are billed by the marketplace instead; this page is about direct keys.

Price per call

Price tierPer 1,000 callsPer callWhen it applies
Standard$0.09$0.00009Any top-up amount
Volume$0.075$0.000075For 30 days after a top-up of $100 or more
Scale$0.065$0.000065While your top-ups of the last 30 days add up to $500 or more

The tier follows your top-ups of the last 30 days: one top-up of $100 or more gives Volume, top-ups that add up to $500 or more give Scale. It is recomputed after every top-up and once a day. The price drops as soon as a top-up qualifies and goes back up when 30 days pass without a new qualifying top-up; you get an email 5 days before. Accounts with an individually agreed price keep it. The pricing page has the same table.

New accounts get $0.10 of test credit, valid for 14 days, at 3 requests per second.

What counts as a call

  • One HTTP request to an API endpoint is one call, whatever it returns.
  • A paginated endpoint costs one call per page.
  • Batch endpoints are one call per request: up to 100 profiles with /user/users/by/ids, 100 handles with /user/usernames/to/ids, 500 handles with /user/usernames/status.
  • Retries we do behind the scenes are free: search retries when X returns an empty page, and the gateway retries a 400 on other servers. You pay once.
  • Account actions cost one call each, like read endpoints.

X-Remaining-BalanceYour balance after this call (and after a refund, if any).
X-Refundedtrue when the call was refunded.
X-Retriedtrue when the gateway needed more than one attempt.

GET /balance

Returns the current balance of your key. It is free and has its own limit of 10 requests per second.

curl 'https://api.twittrapi.com/balance' -H 'X-API-KEY: YOUR_API_KEY'
{
  "user_id": 123,
  "balance": 4.82,
  "price_per_call": 0.00009,
  "is_active": true
}

There are a few more fields that the dashboard uses. A missing key returns 401, an unknown key 404.

When the balance runs out

Calls return 402 with No balance left. Please top up to continue using the API. and are not charged. Top up in the dashboard. Payment options: Crypto (USDT or USDC on Polygon, USDT on Tron, or Litecoin) with no surcharge, the cheapest way to pay. Card for one-time top-ups from $20 (9% card fee). USDT on Tron: minimum $50 and a $3 network fee per deposit, deducted from the credit. Auto top-up and invoices with VAT ID (reverse charge) for business customers on request.

Paying with crypto

Crypto top-ups accept USDT or USDC on Polygon, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) and Litecoin. USDT on Tron: minimum $50 and a $3 network fee per deposit, deducted from the credit. Smaller Tron deposits are kept and credited together once they reach the minimum. The dashboard shows the network next to the deposit address. Send only on that network:

  • The Polygon address is an EVM address. The same address exists on other EVM chains, but tokens sent there (for example on Ethereum) are not credited automatically.
  • Send USDT on Tron as a TRC-20 transfer, and Litecoin only to the Litecoin address.

If you sent funds on another network or another token, contact support with the transaction hash instead of sending the amount again.

Whether top-ups on a network are currently delayed is shown on the status page.

Booked rate-limit tiers are paid from the same balance once a month. See Rate limits. Card payments with invoice, VAT ID and auto top-up for companies: Enterprise.
